Our Commitment to Sustainability in Projects
Al Barari
Known for being the green heart of Dubai, it’s the region's first luxury community that prioritizes both comfort and sustainability. The innovative microclimate established has not only made a significant impact in reducing carbon emissions, but it also provides residents with a unique living experience.
Al Barari is amongst the lowest density communities in the UAE with only 20% of the area built up, with 6 elegantly themed gardens that cover over 586,000 sq ft. In addition, there are over 425,000 sq ft of naturally filtered lakes, freshwater streams, bypaths, and waterways run through the community which encourages outdoor living with a great microclimate, this helps to alleviate air quality concerns, which is a significant issue in Dubai.
The green areas in Al Barari are maintained by filtering sewage treatment water, which results in reduced water consumption. Al Barari also utilizes a unique soil additive to reduce water consumption by 50% during planting. Additionally, efforts are being made to introduce solar technology to the community.
Nurai Island
Nurai Island has gained recognition for its unwavering commitment to sustainability. The island's impressive achievements include the installation of a pioneering floating solar power plant, a first of its kind in the UAE, as well as the implementation of solar-powered public lighting and electric buggies for transportation.
The island's innovative "green carpet" design strategy has been instrumental in maintaining its unspoiled and serene appearance, with minimal concrete visible in the landscape.
Nurai Island sets a new standard for sustainability in the region and demonstrates how environmentally responsible practices can be integrated seamlessly into the design and operation of world-class destinations.
